Interview | Chen Min: Do not set limits on life, with ingenuity to weave a multi-faceted life

She is not only a senior lawyer, representing one of the top ten cases issued by the State Intellectual Property Office; She is also a big V on the Internet, with more than 3 million followers on Weibo single platform. He is also an online writer and has written 13 full-length online novels with nearly 6 million words. She is also enthusiastic about public welfare. She is not only a“master of law popularization”, but also participates in a number of public welfare projects. How does she weave a multi-faceted life?
De Xiaohe: First of all, congratulations to Lawyer Chen for being added as a member of the Xuhui District CPPCC. What does this mean to you?
Lawyer Chen Min: I am very grateful for the cultivation and encouragement of the organization, which is not only an affirmation of my past work, but also a spur to my future work.
Being a CPPCC member is not only a layer of political identity for me, but also a social responsibility and a stage. I will try to give full play to my strengths, serve the overall situation of the United front and practice the social responsibility of lawyers.
De Xiaohe: Your achievements in the field of law are admirable, can you share your practice experience?
Chen Min: I don't think I am a successful lawyer, but in the past 13 years, I have learned from many predecessors and learned from many good working habits. In the long-term self-persistence and self-requirements, I have gradually formed a originality. He was fortunate to participate in some major cases, including one of the top ten cases issued by the State Intellectual Property Office. At the same time, I am also a civil administrative litigation consulting expert of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and I have written legal opinions for many procuratorates across the country. As a people's mediator, I also led my team to participate in the mediation work of more than 1,000 intellectual property cases. Sticking to the original intention and maintaining ingenuity, although it makes us more tired, it can also support us to go further.
De Xiaohe: Legal work sounds cool, but it's hard to do. How have you persevered and achieved so much?
Chen Min: If what you see is an achievement, it all comes from love. I love the profession of law and love the profession of lawyers. Even if the legal work is full of challenges, I am willing to do it. I think big lawyers are big lawyers because they're big. What is the Big picture? Practicing lawyers' social responsibility is one aspect. For more than ten years, I have adhered to the public welfare law popularization, and I have also carried out law popularization lectures and on-site consultation activities in the community for many times. I have also worked as a community volunteer,“one responsibility and one responsibility”, and only by daring to take on responsibilities can I gain.
De Xiaohe: In addition to legal work, you also have multiple identities, such as network V, network writer, non-partisan and so on. What do these identities mean to you?
Lawyer Chen Min: These are actually the superposition of United front status, especially after joining the Knowledge Union, I have a better voice channel and platform, and I have the opportunity to make suggestions for the development of society according to my professional expertise. These identities support and achieve each other, and together shape a more colorful me.
De Xiaohe: Your achievements in the field of new media are also remarkable. Your Weibo account “Chen Xiaodou Lawyer” has more than 3 million followers. Could you share your views?
Lawyer Chen Min: Playing with new media is a basic requirement for the marketization of the lawyer industry. I think my value is not that I am a legal blogger with 3 million followers, but that I spread useful legal knowledge through new media platforms, improve the public's legal awareness and gain the recognition of the majority of netizens. In 2017, I was named one of the top ten rising stars of Weibo Law, and later I also won new media awards and honors from many platforms, which is my encouragement and recognition. I will continue to use new media and strive to spread positive energy.
De Xiaohe: You set up Chen Xiaodou Lawyer New Media Studio this year. Can you introduce the main work and goals of the studio?
Lawyer Chen Min: Speaking of Lawyer Chen Xiaodou's new Media Studio, I would like to thank the Xuhui District Justice Bureau and the United Front Work Department of Xuhui District Party Committee for their cultivation and support of young lawyers like me. It is the first new media public interest studio established in a public legal service center in China, with practicing lawyers as the chief manager, lawyers' IP as the name, and new media law popularization as the main feature. It aims to make use of new media platforms. Join the voices of all parties, disseminate legal knowledge more widely, and raise the legal awareness of the public. I hope that through innovative forms, legal knowledge can be made more vivid and understandable, and the work of promoting the law can be closer to people's lives. At the same time, the studio will also focus on public welfare law, transfer the positive energy of the network, and contribute to the construction of a society ruled by law. At present, the studio is in the process of registering private non-enterprise units.
De Xiaohe: Your contribution to the field of public welfare is also admirable. What do you think of public welfare activities?
Chen Min: What I have done is just a drop in the bucket. I hope to give back to society through public welfare activities. I am a“Weibo Public Welfare Partner”in 2023, and I have participated in public welfare projects such as“Free Lunch”and“Girl Protection”. I hope to bring hope and warmth to people in need. At the same time, I donated all my microblog appreciation to the“Shan Phoenix Care Fund”to help the girls in Shan Shan change their fate with knowledge. But do good things, don't ask the future, I think I have done far enough, but I am willing to stick to it.
De Xiaohe: Finally, what would you like to say to the colleagues and readers of De Hetong?
Chen Min: I am very grateful that at the crossroads of life, I met a noble person and a partner with the same interests. I am very lucky and happy. For lawyers with my years of practice, the feeling of“happiness”is a very luxury, and I cherish it very much and will always cherish it. Thanks to Dehe colleagues for their help, support and love. We can be firm and persistent, but don't set limits on our life; We can be good, but we don't have to worry too much about the judgment of others. The answer to the question“Who am I?”should be written by ourselves. Keep the original heart and love, we will find that the other side of small and ordinary is powerful and bright. In the future, I will meet new challenges together with my colleagues at Dehe Hantong and strive to become a better self.
