The award ceremony of the 6th Shanghai College Students' Criminal Law Paper Competition and the Legal Paper Writing Forum were successfully held

On December 13, 2025, the "6th Shanghai College Students' Criminal Law Paper Competition Award Ceremony and Legal Paper Writing Forum", one of the series of activities marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Law School of Tongji University, was successfully held at the Siping Road Campus of Tongji University. The event was hosted by the Law School of Tongji University and the Criminal Law Research Center of Tongji University, and co-organized by Dehehantong Law Offices. This event brought together renowned legal experts and young students from the Shanghai area. Lawyer Zhang Hengtong, the founding partner of Dehehantong, Professor Jin Zegang, the director of the Dehehantong Expert Committee, and professor Si huaqiang, a member of the dehehantong expert Committee, attended.

01. Speech session

Lawyer Zhang Hengtong, the founding partner of Dehehantong, introduced the development overview of Dehehantong and stated that as a co-organizer of this forum, Dehehantong will provide rich internship resources for young students and support the growth of legal talents.

02. Award Ceremony

This competition solicited academic papers in the field of criminal law from undergraduate and postgraduate students of all universities in the city. After strict review, several first, second and third prizes were selected for both the postgraduate and undergraduate groups, and certificates and corresponding cash prizes were awarded. Duan Cunguang, the Party Secretary of the Law School of Tongji University, and Zhang Hengtong, the founding partner of Dehehantong, jointly presented awards to the winning students of the 6th Shanghai College Students' Criminal Law Academic Competition.

03. Thesis Writing Forum

Criminal law experts from renowned universities and research institutions in Shanghai successively delivered keynote speeches, engaging in in-depth discussions on the writing concepts, methods and values of legal papers. Professor Si Huaqiang, a member of the Dehe Expert Committee, shared the differences between basic research and applied research, and encouraged young scholars, especially doctoral students, to delve deeply into basic fields and accumulate sustainable academic energy.

04. Summary Speech

Professor Jin Zegang, the director of the Dehe Expert Committee, delivered a concluding speech. He expressed his gratitude to all the experts for their wonderful sharing and encouraged the students present to devote themselves to legal research and thesis writing with a rigorous attitude and a pragmatic spirit, contributing wisdom and strength to the construction of the rule of law.
